Haisham Reaches Main Draw at Botswana International

Revival Sports’ Haisham Ibrahim Ali has advanced to the main draw of the Botswana International 2025, delivering a strong performance in the men’s singles qualification round, while teammate Hassan Zayan was eliminated after a difficult opening match.

Haisham secured his place in the main draw with an impressive three-game victory over South Africa’s Cameron Coetzer, winning 21–12, 18–21, 21–14. His composed and confident display marks a significant milestone in his second singles appearance on Revival’s African tour.

Hassan, however, was unable to progress after falling to Botswana’s Tefo Kabomo, losing 17–21, 15–21 in the qualification round. With Haisham advancing, Revival will have three representatives in the men’s singles main draw, which begins tomorrow. Along with Haisham, Zayan Zaki and Nibal Ahmed will begin their tournament from main draw.

Haisham and Hassan Zayan, continue to build crucial international experience, having also competed in the Zambia International qualifiers last week, where they were defeated by India’s Sree Yashwanth A.S. Sathish Kumar.

Revival Sports began their Africa tour with standout achievements in Zambia, where Zayan Zaki and Fathimath Nabaha (Naba) clinched mixed doubles gold, while Naba and Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) earned silver in women’s doubles. Nibal also delivered competitive performances across his events.

In Botswana, Revival aims to continue its strong momentum, with Nibal, Zayan and Haisham competing in men’s singles and doubles, and Naba and Naby set to contest women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles as they push for more international milestones.
