Hassan Zayan and Haisham Set for Botswana Qualifiers
Revival Sports athletes Hassan Zayan and Haisham Ibrahim Ali are set to compete in the men’s singles qualification rounds of the Botswana International 2025, marking another key step in their ongoing African tour.
In the opening round of qualifiers, Haisham will face South Africa’s Cameron Coetzer, while Hassan prepares to take on Botswana’s Tefo Kobemo. The qualification pathway requires players to win three consecutive matches to secure a place in the main draw, which begins tomorrow.
This will be the duo’s second singles appearance on Revival’s African tour. At the recently concluded Zambia International, both players exited in the qualifying stage after falling to India’s Sree Yashwanth A.S. Sathish Kumar, but the experience has strengthened their resolve ahead of the Botswana competition.
Revival Sports began the tour strongly in Zambia, where Zayan Zaki and Fathimath Nabaha (Naba) captured the mixed doubles gold, and Naba alongside Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) earned silver in women’s doubles, with Nibal Ahmed also delivering commendable performances across his events.
In Botswana, Revival will once again field a full-strength lineup: Nibal, Zayan, Hassan, and Haisham will compete in men’s singles and doubles, while Naba and Naby will contest the women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories. The club aims to build on its early-tour momentum and achieve further milestones as part of its return to BWF-sanctioned tournaments.
