In mixed doubles, Zayan and Naba advanced to the semi-finals with a composed 21–18, 21–13 victory over Botswana’s Tumelo Moilwa and Keletso Ntebela, securing a bronze medal as semi-finalists. Their run ended against South Africa’s Robert Summers and Amy Ackerman.
The highlight of the day came in the women’s doubles, where Naba and Naby swept aside Botswana’s Tessa Kabelo and Tebogo Ndzinge with a dominant 22–11, 21–7 win in the semi-final. The Maldivian duo now advance to the championship final, where they will face South Africa’s Amy Ackermen and Johanita Scholtz
