Revival Sports Earn Silver in Women’s Doubles and Bronze in Mixed Doubles at Botswana International
Revival Sports capped off another impressive outing on their African Tour, celebrating both silver and bronze medals at the Botswana International 2025.
The women’s doubles duo of Fathimath Nabaha (Naba) and Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) delivered a standout performance to reach the final, ultimately securing a silver medal, while Zayan Zaki and Naba added a bronze in the mixed doubles after a strong semi-final run.
In mixed doubles, Zayan and Naba continued to showcase their chemistry and experience, dispatching Botswana’s Tumelo Moilwa and Keletso Ntebela 21–18, 21–13 in the quarter-finals. Their campaign concluded in the semi-finals against South Africa’s Robert Summers and Amy Ackerman, earning them a well-deserved bronze.
This marks the pair’s fourth BWF medal together, adding to their gold medals from the 2019 Pakistan International and 2025 Zambia International, as well as last year’s silver from the 2024 Botswana International.
The highlight of Revival’s performance came in the women’s doubles, where Naba and Naby continued their exceptional form. The Maldivian pair stormed into the final with a commanding 22–11, 21–7 victory over Botswana’s Tessa Kabelo and Tebogo Ndzinge. In a thrilling final showdown, they battled South Africa’s Amy Ackerman and Johanita Scholtz, eventually falling 21–19, 13–21, 15–21 to claim the silver medal.
This achievement marks Naba and Naby’s 14th international medal together, a remarkable tally that now includes 4 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Their previous silver was earned just days earlier at the Zambia International, further underscoring their consistency and dominance on the continental circuit.
With two more medals added to their African Tour tally, Revival Sports continues to strengthen Maldives’ presence in international badminton, demonstrating resilience, progress, and world-class potential. Revival’s high performing players set to take part in Aquasprings South Africa International 2025 in Cape Town from 27th to 30th November.
