
Revival Sports Stars in action as Eydhafushi Badminton Cup 2025 gets underway
The Eyadhafushi Badminton Cup 2025 is in full swing at the Eydhafushi Youth Center, with Revival Sports Badminton Academy and its High Performance Team making a strong presence across multiple categories.
The tournament, which runs from September 19 to 26, features 146 entries in 27 events, drawing players from Malé, Naifaru, Addu, and the host island Eydhafushi.
Revival Sports athletes are competing across both junior and senior divisions, with academy players contesting events from Under-9 to Under-19, and two women’s doubles pairs carrying the academy’s colors in the Open category.
The High Performance Team is also making waves in the Open Men’s Singles, with representatives Nibal Ahmed, Hassan Zayan Mohamed, and Hoodh Bin Hamid all vying for top honors. Nibal who recently won the Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open Mens title. Other senior players, some are facing a spell in the sidelines due to injury.
The tournament has already showcased the growing enthusiasm for badminton in the Maldives, with more than 100 children from Eydhafushi Academy also taking part. For Revival Sports, the ongoing competition is another chance to underline their development efforts and prove their rising stature in Maldivian badminton.
