Revival’s Naba and Naby Storm Into Women’s Doubles Final at South Africa International

Revival Sports’ standout duo Fathimath Nabaaha (Naba) and Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) have advanced to the Women’s Doubles final of the AQUASPRINGS South Africa International 2025, continuing their impressive run on the African circuit.

The pair secured their place in the championship match after a hard-fought semifinal victory over Mauritius’ Chiara How Hong and Elsa How Hong, winning 21–19, 18–21, 21–14. Their progression adds to a remarkable streak, having recently claimed silver medals at both the Zambia International and Botswana International. The South Africa International final is scheduled to take place later today.

In the Women’s Singles semifinal, Naba faced a tough challenge against South Africa’s Johanita Scholtz, the tournament’s second seed. Despite a strong tournament run, Naba fell 12–21, 8–21, concluding her singles campaign in the final four.

Revival Sports also featured in the Mixed Doubles semifinal, where Zayan Zaki and Naba competed against South Africa’s Robert Summers and Amy Ackerman. Although the pair delivered a competitive performance, their bid to reach the final came to an end in this round.

With Naba and Naby now set to compete for the Women’s Doubles title, Revival Sports remains firmly in contention for silverware at the South Africa International, showcasing the Maldives’ rising presence in international badminton.
