Three members of the Revival Sports coaching team have successfully completed the Olympic Solidarity Coaches Education: Level 1 Coaching Course & Refresher Course, further strengthening the academy’s commitment to coach education and athlete development.

The course was held from 20 to 26 July 2026 and brought together 24 participants from across the Maldives.

It was the first Level 1 coaching course conducted in the country in the last four years.

The Revival Sports coaches who completed the programme were Mohamed Nashfan, Head Coach of the High Performance and Under-23 Squad, Nasheeu Sharafuddeen, one of the academy’s leading Maldivian coaches, and Riaz Mohamed, one of the academy’s leading foreign coaches.

The week-long program was designed to equip coaches with the latest knowledge and practical skills required to improve coaching standards and contribute to the continued growth of badminton in the Maldives.

The course was delivered under the guidance of Badminton World Federation (BWF) assessors Nikhil Chandra Dhar, who served as the Level 2 assessor, and Ling, the Level 1 assessor.

Participants who successfully completed the Level 1 Refresher Course will have the opportunity, following assessment, to progress to the Level 2 Coaching Course, which is scheduled to be held in September 2026.

The achievement marks another important milestone for Revival Sports, which has continued to prioritize coach education alongside athlete development. By investing in internationally recognized coaching qualifications, the academy aims to further enhance the quality of training provided to its players while supporting the long-term development of badminton in the Maldives.
