Revival Sports Badminton Academy (RSBA) and Revival Sports Eydhafushi (RSE) have made a major statement at the junior level of the ongoing 50th National Badminton Tournament, combining for 35 medals across singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

The two academies, under the Revival Sports banner, have dominated the junior medal count, with athletes consistently reaching finals and podium positions across the U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 age categories.

The combined haul consists of 11 gold, nine silver and 15 bronze medals, underlining the depth of young talent being developed within the Revival Sports programme.

RSE leads the gold-medal tally between the two academies with seven gold medals, while RSBA has produced the larger overall haul with 20 medals.

RSBA: Four Gold, Six Silver and 10 Bronze

RSBA’s four gold medals came in several different age groups and disciplines.

In the U13 Girls’ Doubles, Aishath Alaya Nadheem and Marsha Hussain Rasheed secured the gold medal.

The U11 Boys’ Doubles title was won by an all-Reviv​al pairing across the two academies, with Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem (RSBA) partnering Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan (RSE).

In the U15 Boys’ Doubles, Ahmed Akil Masuood and Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed claimed gold for RSBA.

The fourth RSBA gold came in the U17 Girls’ Doubles, where Aishath Laina Rifau (RSBA) teamed up with Laara Mohamed Latheef (RSE).

RSBA also recorded six silver medals.

Kaisan Luke Fiyaz finished runner-up in the U9 Boys’ Singles, while Marsha Hussain Rasheed added a silver in the U13 Girls’ Singles.

Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed claimed silver in the U15 Boys’ Singles, before partnering Aishath Nyam Saaid to another silver in the U15 Mixed Doubles.

In the U17 Mixed Doubles, Aishath Laina Rifau and Yaugoob Alvin Bin Husham of the BAM Pool secured silver.

The U19 Boys’ Doubles saw Ibrahim Nashith Hamdi (RS) and Yoonus Kaif Mohamed (AIBA) finish with the silver medal.

RSBA’s 10 bronze medals came across a wide range of events.

In the U13 Girls’ Singles, both Aishath Alaya Nadheem and Aisha Hajar Hanis Moosa claimed bronze. RSBA also collected bronze in the U13 Girls’ Doubles through Aisha Hajar Hanis Moosa and Aishath Sienna Mohamed Saeed, as well as Fathimath Noorain Zuhan and Luyuna Wasiu.

In the U15 categories, bronze medals were won by Ahmed Akil Masuood in Boys’ Singles, Romana Abdul Kader in Girls’ Singles, and Kayyif Ahmed Iqbal (RSBA) alongside Umar Bin Adheel Moosa (AIBA) in Boys’ Doubles.

Aishath Nyam Saaid (RSBA) and Laisa Shazwan Ahmed (AIBA) secured bronze in U15 Girls’ Doubles, while Ahmed Akil Masuood and Laisa Shazwan Ahmed claimed bronze in U15 Mixed Doubles.

RSBA’s remaining bronze medals came through Aishath Laina Rifau in U17 Girls’ Singles and Ibrahim Nashith Hamdi (RS) with Aishath Amna Ali Amir (AIBA) in U19 Mixed Doubles.

RSE: Seven Gold Medals Lead the Gold Race

Revival Sports Eydhafushi produced an impressive seven gold medals, making it the strongest of the two academies in terms of titles won.

Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan claimed the U11 Boys’ Singles gold medal, adding to his U11 Boys’ Doubles success with Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem of RSBA.

Ilva Abdulla Zaeem won the U11 Girls’ Singles title.

RSE’s strong U15 campaign saw Risham Abdul Fathah win the Boys’ Singles title and then team up with Ashna Binth Abdulla Rasheed to claim gold in the U15 Mixed Doubles.

In the U17 competition, Awf Bin Fazloon and Risham Abdul Fathah won the Boys’ Doubles title.

The academy’s seventh gold came from the cross-academy U17 Girls’ Doubles partnership of Aishath Laina Rifau (RSBA) and Laara Mohamed Latheef (RSE).

RSE also added three silver medals.

In the U11 Girls’ Doubles, Aishath Yoodh Binth Ali Rasheed and Ilva Abdulla Zaeem secured silver.

Eelaaf Mohamed Ikram and Yoosuf Eethan Bin Shifaz finished runners-up in U15 Boys’ Doubles, while Aana Ibrahim Shaheed and Ileena Ali Shafeeq took silver in U17 Girls’ Doubles.

RSE’s five bronze medals came through Arush Bin Fazloon and Ismail Nooh Bin Rilwan in U9 Boys’ Singles, Ilshan Abdul Majeed and Yooshau Ahmed Rasheed in U11 Boys’ Doubles, Thilaal Ibrahim Waheed in U13 Boys’ Singles, and Ahmed Azaan Azmath Abdul Rasheed and Yoosuf Faathik Mohamed Nashid in U13 Boys’ Doubles.

Further bronze medals came from Yoosuf Shail Ismail in U15 Boys’ Singles, Awf Bin Fazloon in U17 Boys’ Singles, Laara Mohamed Latheef in U17 Girls’ Singles, Aishath Sajaa Ibrahim and Ashna Binth Abdulla Rasheed in U17 Girls’ Doubles, and Awf Bin Fazloon and Laara Mohamed Latheef in U17 Mixed Doubles.

A Strong Statement for Revival Sports

The combined 35-medal haul represents a significant achievement for Revival Sports at the country’s premier national badminton competition.

Beyond the number of titles, the results demonstrate the academies’ ability to produce competitive players across multiple age groups and disciplines, with athletes from RSBA and RSE frequently appearing alongside one another in medal-winning partnerships.

The performances also highlight the growing pathway within the Revival Sports system, from junior development through to higher-performance squads, with the academies continuing to invest in young players and provide them with opportunities to compete at the highest domestic level.

With the 50th National Badminton Tournament still ongoing, Revival Sports has already established a formidable presence in the junior competition, with 11 national junior titles and 35 medals providing a strong platform for what could become another landmark campaign for the academies.
