Revival Sports Badminton Academy (RSBA) and Revival Sports Eydhafushi (RSE) have produced a strong campaign at the 50th National Badminton Tournament 2026, reaching multiple finals across the junior categories while already securing national honours in the U17 Girls Doubles.

The two Revival academies have continued to make a strong impact throughout the tournament, with athletes progressing deep into the knockout stages across singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

During the latest stage of competition, RSBA athletes played 37 matches and recorded 20 victories, underlining the depth and progress within Revival Sports’ junior programme.

The academies will now have a significant presence in the remaining finals, with representation stretching from the U9 to U19 age groups. In the U9 Boys Singles, RSBA’s Kaisan Luke Fiyaaz has reached the final, giving the young academy player an opportunity to compete for a national title.

The U11 categories have also produced strong results for Revival. RSE’s Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan has reached the U11 Boys Singles final, while Yoosuf will also contest the U11 Boys Doubles final alongside RSBA’s Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem. The pair secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 13-15, 15-10, 17-15 semifinal victory. Revival also has representation in the U11 Girls Doubles final, with RSE’s Aishath Yoodh Binthi Ali Rasheed and Ilva Abdulla Zaeem progressing to the title match after defeating Aishath Aala Rasheed and Zynab Ziva 15-8, 15-10 in the semifinals.

The U13 categories have provided another major highlight for RSBA. In the U13 Girls Singles, RSBA’s Marsha Hussain Rasheed reached the final after overcoming fellow RSBA player Aishath Alaya Nadheem in a closely contested three-game semifinal, winning 11-15, 15-9, 15-13.

Marsha and Alaya will also compete together in the U13 Girls Doubles final. The RSBA pair booked their place in the championship match with a convincing 15-10, 15-10 semifinal victory over Hajar Hanis Moosa and Sienna. RSE also produced a strong showing in the U13 categories, with Ahmed Azaan Azmath Abdul Rasheed and Yoosuf Faathik Mohamed Nashid reaching the U13 Boys Doubles semifinal stage.

The U15 categories have arguably been among the most successful age groups for Revival, with several athletes reaching finals. RSE’s Risham Abdul Fathah and RSBA’s Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed will meet in the U15 Boys Singles final. Risham defeated RSE teammate Yoosuf Shail Ismail 15-6, 15-10 in the semifinal, while Yuan secured his place in the final by defeating fellow RSBA player Ahmed Akil Masuood 15-13, 15-12.

Akil and Yuan will, however, have another opportunity for a title in the U15 Boys Doubles, where the RSBA pairing has reached the final. RSE will also be represented in the same final by Eelaaf Mohamed Ikram and Yoosuf Eethan Bin Shifaz, giving the category a strong Revival presence.

The academy’s success continues in U15 Girls Doubles, where RSBA’s Aishath Nyam Saaid has reached the final alongside AIBA’s Laisa Shazwan Ahmed.

In U15 Mixed Doubles, RSBA’s Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed and Aishath Nyam Saaid have also secured a place in the final. The pair advanced after defeating Ahmed Akil Masuood and Laisa Shazwan Ahmed 15-2, 17-15 in the semifinal.

RSE’s Risham Abdul Fathah and Ashna Binthi Abdulla Rasheed have also reached the U15 Mixed Doubles final after a dramatic semifinal victory, coming from behind to defeat Zaul and Yazaan 2-15, 15-10, 18-16.

One of the biggest achievements of the campaign has already come in the U17 Girls Doubles, where RSBA’s Aishath Laina Rifau and RSE’s Laara Mohamed Latheed were crowned national champions. The Revival pairing defeated fellow RSE duo Aana Ibrahim Shaheed and Ileena Ali Shafeeq 15-7, 15-9 in the final to secure the championship.

Laina also reached the U17 Mixed Doubles final alongside BAM Pool’s Yaugoob Alvin Bin Husham, with the pair finishing as runners-up. RSE’s Awf Bin Fazloon and Risham Abdul Fathah have meanwhile reached the U17 Boys Doubles final, following a strong 15-9, 15-6 semifinal victory.

At the U19 level, Revival’s Ibrahim Nashith Hamdi has reached the U19 Boys Doubles final alongside AIBA’s Yoonus Kaif Mohamed. Nashith has also featured prominently in the U19 Mixed Doubles competition, reaching the semifinal stage alongside AIBA’s Aishath Amna Ali Amir. The U19 Boys Doubles pairing of Nashith and Kaif produced another important result in the knockout stages, defeating their semifinal opponents 15-10, 17-15 to book their place in the final.

The results demonstrate the growing depth of both Revival Sports academies, with athletes from RSBA and RSE progressing through multiple age groups and disciplines. From Kaisan in the U9 Boys Singles to Nashith in the U19 Boys Doubles, Revival athletes have secured opportunities to compete for national titles across singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

The competition has also featured significant internal competition, with several Revival athletes facing one another in knockout matches, highlighting the strength of the academy system and the increasing quality of its junior players.

Alongside multiple finalists across U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19, RSBA and RSE have positioned themselves for a potentially historic finish at the 50th National Badminton Tournament. The immediate objective is now clear, turning a strong run of semifinal and final appearances into more national championships, while building on the continued development of Revival Sports’ junior stage.
