Revival Sports Academies Secure Multiple No. 1 Spots in National Junior Badminton Rankings
Revival Sports Eydhafushi leads the singles rankings in three boys’ age categories, while both Revival programmes feature prominently across the junior singles and doubles standings published by the Badminton Association of Maldives.
Revival Sports Badminton Academy (RSBA) and Revival Sports Eydhafushi (RSE) have secured multiple top-four positions in the latest national junior badminton rankings, highlighting the academies’ growing presence across the Maldives’ youth badminton categories.
The rankings, updated on September 29, 2026, by the Badminton Association of Maldives (BAM), reflect points accumulated through the association’s championship, Revival Sports Eydhafushi events, the AIBA Open 2026, age-category competitions and the 50th National Badminton Tournament.
Revival Sports Eydhafushi recorded several leading positions, including four No. 1 rankings across the listed categories. Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan tops the Under-11 Boys’ Singles standings, while Risham Abdul Fathah leads Under-15 Boys’ Singles. Awf Bin Fazloon holds first place in Under-17 Boys’ Singles, and the Risham & Awf partnership ranks first in Under-17 Boys’ Doubles.
RSE athletes also feature in other top-four positions. Kai is ranked second in Under-9 Boys’ Singles, while Zaya sits third in Under-9 Girls’ Singles. Naaim is fourth in Under-11 Boys’ Singles, and Kaira is fourth in Under-11 Girls’ Singles. In Under-11 Boys’ Doubles, Naaim and Alaf occupy the top position.
The Under-13 Girls’ Singles rankings include Alaya in second place, Marsha in third and Haajar in fourth. Alaya and Marsha lead the Under-13 Girls’ Doubles rankings, while Haajar and Sienna are ranked fourth in the same category.
In Under-15 Boys’ Singles, Yuan holds second place and Akil is third. Romana is ranked third in Under-15 Girls’ Singles, with Nyam in fourth. Akil and Yuan lead the Under-15 Boys’ Doubles rankings, while Yuan and Nyam are second in Under-15 Mixed Doubles. Akil and Laisa hold third place in that mixed-doubles category.
RSE’s Under-17 Girls’ rankings also feature Laina, who is fourth in singles and, partnering Lara, first in doubles.
Meanwhile, the Revival Sports Badminton Academy positions listed among the top four are particularly strong in doubles. Naaim and Alaf are ranked first in Under-11 Boys’ Doubles; Alaya and Marsha top Under-13 Girls’ Doubles; Akil and Yuan lead Under-15 Boys’ Doubles; and Laina and Lara hold first place in Under-17 Girls’ Doubles.
However, no athlete from Revival Sports Badminton Academy occupies first place in the singles categories listed for the academy, while Revival Sports Eydhafushi has several No. 1 positions across its reported categories. The distinction underlines the different areas in which the two academies are represented in the current standings.
The rankings also show the strength of Revival’s junior development across age groups, with players appearing in Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 categories. Their presence in both singles and doubles suggests a broad base of developing talent and competitive partnerships.
The latest standings provide a snapshot of junior badminton performance as athletes continue to compete for ranking points through national and age-category tournaments. For Revival Sports, the multiple top-four placements offer encouragement as both programmes continue their work to develop young players and strengthen the future of Maldivian badminton.
