Revival Sports and Maldives Islamic Bank Unveil Jerseys as Club Targets Historic Podium Finish at 50th Nationals
Revival Sports has unveiled the jerseys for its three teams for the 50th National Badminton Tournament, marking the club’s first National Tournament since entering into a Sports Corporate Partnership with Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB).
The jersey unveiling marks an important milestone in the growing partnership between Revival Sports and MIB, with the banking institution supporting the club’s continued development and ambitions in badminton.
Representing Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) at the unveiling were Hussain Alim Shakoor, Chief Retail Banking Officer, and Ahsan Jameel, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications.
Earlier this year, Revival Sports officially announced the signing of a Sports Corporate Partnership Agreement with Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB), establishing a significant partnership aimed at supporting sports development and excellence in the Maldives.
The 50th National Badminton Tournament is the first National Tournament in which Revival Sports will compete with MIB as its banking partner. Revival Sports enters the landmark national tournament with ambitious targets, with the club aiming to achieve historic podium finishes, particularly in the top division categories.
The 50th National Badminton Tournament officially got underway at the Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Court, with competition running from 11 to 20 September 2026. The landmark 50th edition features junior singles, doubles and mixed doubles, alongside Division 1 and Division 2 senior competitions and men’s and women’s team events.

For, Revival Sports, the tournament represents a major test of the progress achieved through months of preparation and international exposure. The club recently completed a historic two-month overseas training camp in Malaysia, where its athletes undertook sustained high-performance training, participated in two international tournaments and gained valuable experience against international-level opposition.
That international experience has provided Revival athletes with exposure to different playing styles, high-level sparring and competitive environments, while allowing the players to improve their technical, tactical and physical preparation ahead of the Nationals.
Revival Sports has entered the tournament with two men’s teams and one women’s team in the team events, while its High Performance Team and Under-23 Squad will compete across Division 1 individual and team competitions.
The High Performance Team and Under-23 Squad consists of 12 athletes, nine male and three female, competing in Division 1. Meanwhile, Revival Sports Badminton Academy will have 24 athletes competing across all junior categories, as well as Division 1 and Division 2 competitions.
Revival Sports Eydhafushi Academy will have 32 athletes competing across the junior categories and Division 1 and Division 2. Both academies have recorded significant progress and steady improvement in recent competitions and will look to carry that momentum into the National Tournament.
The junior programme features boys’ and girls’ singles from U9 through U19, doubles from U11 through U19, and mixed doubles in the U15, U17 and U19 categories. The senior programme includes Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles in both Division 1 and Division 2, as well as the team competitions.
Revival’s Division 1 squad includes Hussein Zayan Shaheed Zaki, Nibal Ahmed, Haisham Ibrahim Ali, Hassan Zayan Mohamed, Ayyoob Azhar Mohamed, Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah, Ibrahim Nashith Hamdi and Adam Maheen Mohamed in Men’s Singles.
The Men’s Doubles combinations are Hussein Zayan Shaheed Zaki/Nibal Ahmed, Haisham Ibrahim Ali/Mohamed Khalaf Imraan, and Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah/Hassan Zayan Mohamed. In Women’s Singles, Fathimath Nabaha Abdul Razzaq (Naba) and Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzaq (Naby) will represent Revival Sports.
The Women’s Doubles pairings are Naba/Naby and Maisa Fathuhulla Ismail/Aishath Afnaan Rasheed. In Mixed Doubles, Revival will feature Hussein Zayan Shaheed Zaki/Naba, Nibal Ahmed/Naby, and Haisham Ibrahim Ali/Maisa Fathuhulla Ismail.
The National Tournament is Revival Sports’ first Nationals in three years, making this year’s campaign particularly significant for the club.
With the new MIB partnership prominently represented through the newly unveiled jerseys, Revival Sports now enters the national stage with three teams, a strengthened competitive programme and the confidence gained from its international development efforts.
