Revival Sports Dominate Revival Sports Eydhafushi Junior Open with 64-Medal Haul
Revival Sports and Revival Sports Eydhafushi delivered a commanding performance at the after securing a combined total of 64 medals across the four-day competition held at the Eydhafushi Youth Centre.
Revival Sports and Revival Sports Eydhafushi amassed an impressive 15 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 36 bronze medals, underlining the rapid growth and depth of junior badminton talent being developed through the Revival Sports system.
Revival Sports Eydhafushi emerged as the tournament’s most successful contingent with 12 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 29 bronze medals, while Revival Sports Badminton Academy contributed three golds, two silvers and seven bronzes.
The tournament, now in its third edition, attracted strong participation from across the Maldives and has increasingly become one of the country’s most significant grassroots badminton events.
Revival Sports praised the commitment and determination shown by its athletes throughout the championship.
Academy Athletes Deliver Strong Medal Performances
Revival Sports Badminton Academy produced several standout performances across multiple age categories.
In the Under-9 boys singles final, Kaisan Luke Fiyaz captured the gold medal after battling past Ismail Nooh Bin Rilwan in a thrilling three-set contest. Kaisan recovered from losing the opening set to secure a 14-16, 15-11, 15-11 victory.
Another major success came in the Under-13 girls singles event where Aishath Alaya Nadeem claimed gold following one of the most dramatic finals of the tournament. Alaya edged fellow academy athlete Marsha Hussain Rasheed 11-15, 16-14, 16-14 in a fiercely contested match that showcased the academy’s growing strength in the girls division.
The academy also celebrated gold in the Under-13 girls doubles category through Aisha Haajar Hanis Moosa and Meefa Binth Moosa. The pair dominated the final with a convincing 15-4, 15-4 victory against Aishath Alaina Abdulla and Ulvy Ismail Shakir.
Silver medals were secured by Marsha in the Under-13 girls singles and by the Under-17 boys doubles pair of Raidh Hanis Moosa and Yoosuf Zaul Zaeem, who reached the final before falling to Revival Sports Eydhafushi duo Awf Bin Fazloon and Risham Abdul Fathah.
The academy’s bronze medal winners included:
- Kaira Wasiu in Under-11 girls singles
- Luyuna Wasiu and Aisha Haajar in Under-13 girls singles
- Ahmed Akil Masuood in Under-15 boys singles
- Mohamed Aydhin Anwar in Under-17 boys singles
- Ahmed Akil and Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed in Under-15 boys doubles
- Aishath Laina Rifau and Romana Abdul Kader in the Under-17 girls category.
Revival Sports Eydhafushi Dominates “Home Tournament”
Competing on home courts, Revival Sports Eydhafushi produced an exceptional campaign by capturing titles across numerous divisions.
The Under-19 boys doubles partnership of Ahmed Ahnaf Mohamed Aflah and Mohamed Aloof Rifau secured gold after defeating Ismail Shaikhoon Bin Hussain and Izyaan Abdulla Saeed 15-13, 15-10 in the final.
In the Under-17 girls doubles final, Azkaa Rilwan and Hawwa Naureen Mohamed claimed the championship with a composed 15-9, 15-13 victory against Aishath Raisha Zakir and Laara Mohamed Latheef.
The Under-17 boys doubles title went to Awf Bin Fazloon and Risham Abdul Fathah after an emphatic 15-2, 15-9 win against Raidh Hanis Moosa and Yoosuf Zaul Zaeem.
Risham also added another gold medal in the Under-15 boys singles event, defeating Yoosuf Ethaan Bin Shifaz 15-13, 15-11 in the final.
Azkaa continued her excellent run by winning the Under-15 girls singles crown following a dominant 15-4, 15-5 victory over Ashna Binthi Abdulla Rasheed.
In the Under-17 boys singles final, Abdulla Nawhaan Bin Mohamed Nasheed defeated Awf Bin Fazloon 15-10, 15-12 to secure another title for Revival Sports Eydhafushi.
The club also celebrated victories in:
- Under-15 girls doubles through Aishath Sajaa Ibrahim and Ashna Binthi Abdulla Rasheed
- Under-15 boys doubles through Eelaaf Mohamed Ikram and Yoosuf Ethaan Bin Shifaz
- Under-13 boys doubles through Yoosuf Alaf and Yoosuf Luyoon Ismail Shirhaan
- Under-13 boys singles through Yoosuf Luyoon Ismail Shirhaan
- Under-11 girls doubles through Aishath Yoodh Binthi Ali Rasheed and Ilva Abdulla Zaeem
- Under-11 boys singles through Yoosuf Alaf.

The success of both Revival Sports & Revival Sports Eydhafushi once again highlighted the impact of structured youth development pathways in Maldivian badminton. With 150 players competing across numerous age categories, the Junior Open continued to provide valuable competitive exposure for emerging athletes from across the country.
The strong performances from both academy-based and island-based players also reinforced the growing reach of Revival Sports’ development network, particularly in nurturing young talent outside the capital region.
