Revival Sports Dominates Badminton Association Championship with 13 Age-Group Finals Appearances
Revival Sports and Revival Sports Eydhafushi delivered an outstanding performance at the Badminton Association of Maldives Championship 2026, securing places in 13 age-group category finals while also collecting multiple bronze medals across the tournament.
The championship has highlighted the growing depth and structure of the Revival Sports development system, with players from the academy, high-performance programme and Eydhafushi branch progressing into finals across Under-9 to Under-19 divisions.
In the Under-19 Boys Singles category, an all-Revival Sports final was confirmed after Adam Maheen Mohamed and Ayyoob Azhar Mohamed booked their places in the title clash. Adam advanced with a composed 15-13, 15-13 victory over Ahmed Izaan Haris, while Ayyoob defeated teammate Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah by 16-14, 15-11 in the semi-finals. Ayaan secured the bronze medal following his semi-final finish.
Revival Sports also enjoyed success in the Under-13 divisions. Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed progressed to the Under-13 Boys Singles final after defeating Maeesh Mohamed 15-12, 15-13, while Kayyif Ahmed Iqbal finished with a bronze medal after losing to Aal Ibrahim Shareef in the semi-finals. In the girls’ category, Aishath Nyam Saaidh stormed into the final with a dominant 15-4, 15-1 victory over Lisi Wei.
In the Under-9 Girls Singles event, Kaira Wasiu secured her place in the final after an emphatic 30-13 win against Ainy Shihan, while Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem advanced to the Under-11 Boys Singles final with a commanding 30-4 victory over Mohamed Ayaan Ahmed.
Revival Sports athletes also excelled in doubles competition. In the Under-19 Boys Doubles category, the pairing of Ayaan and Ayyoob advanced to the final after defeating teammates Adam Maheen Mohamed and Mohamed Ahsan Ahmed by 15-9, 15-7 in the semi-finals. Adam and Ahsan concluded the event with bronze medals.
The club also secured another finalist in the Under-15 Boys Doubles category through Ahmed Akil Masuood, while Mohamed Aydhin Anwar finished with bronze. In Under-13 Boys Doubles, the pair of Yuan Arafath Saeed and Maeesh Mohamed advanced to the final with a 15-10, 15-12 win over Mirusaal Hussain Miruza and Zaul Bin Ahmed Mumthaz.
Meanwhile, Kayyif Ahmed Iqbal and Umar Bin Adheel Moosa secured bronze medals after their semi-final defeat.
Revival Sports Eydhafushi also produced strong performances throughout the tournament. Risham Abdul Fathah advanced to the Under-15 Boys Singles final after overcoming Ahmed Akil Masuood in a thrilling three-set semi-final by 15-11, 11-15, 15-7.
In the Under-17 Boys Singles event, Mohamed Ilaan Bin Rilwan earned a bronze medal after a competitive semi-final defeat against Ahmed Auz Afeef. The Eydhafushi branch also secured finals appearances in the Under-17 Boys Doubles through the pair of Yoosuf Zeek Zuhan and Ilaan Bin Rilwan, while Risham Abdul Fathah and Awf Bin Fazloon advanced to the Under-15 Boys Doubles final following a narrow 16-14, 16-14 victory against Ahmed Akil Masuood and Mohamed Aydhin Anwar.
In the Under-11 Boys Singles division, Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan booked his place in the final after edging Izz Al Din 30-26 in a tightly contested semi-final encounter.
The impressive results underline Revival Sports’ continued rise as one of the Maldives’ leading badminton development programmes, with its athletes consistently competing at the highest level across junior and youth categories.
