Revival Sports Dominates BAM Championship with Massive Medal Haul

Revival Sports and Revival Sports Eydhafushi delivered an impressive medal-winning performance at the ongoing Badminton Association of Maldives Championship 2026, securing a combined total of 20 medals across multiple age-category divisions.

Revival Sports Badminton Academy concluded the age group divisions in the tournament with an outstanding haul of five gold medals, three silver medals and six bronze medals, while Revival Sports Eydhafushi added one gold, three silver and two bronze medals to cap off a successful campaign.

One of the standout performers for the academy was Mohamed Yuan Arafath Saeed, who claimed gold in the Under-13 Boys Singles category after defeating Aal Ibrahim Shareef in straight sets by 15-13, 15-2 in the final. Yuan also secured a second gold medal in the Under-13 Boys Doubles event alongside Maeesh Mohamed, with the pair overcoming Aal Ibrahim Shareef and Hoodh Imrah Solih 15-5, 15-11 in a dominant final performance.

In the Under-13 Girls Singles division, Aishath Nyam Saaidh produced one of the most thrilling victories of the tournament to secure gold. She defeated Laisa Shazwan Ahmed in a hard-fought three-set final by 14-16, 15-12, 17-15 after an intense contest.

The academy also celebrated success in the Under-19 Boys Singles category through Adam Maheen Mohamed, who staged an impressive comeback to defeat teammate Ayyoob Azhar Mohamed by 9-15, 15-7, 15-2 in the final to win gold. Ayyoob finished with silver, while Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah secured bronze.

Ayaan and Ayyoob later combined to capture another gold medal for Revival Sports in the Under-19 Boys Doubles final, defeating Ahmed Azaan Adam Faisal and Yoosuf Munadhie by 15-9, 15-8. Adam Maheen Mohamed and Mohamed Ahsan Ahmed completed the podium with bronze.

In other academy results, Kaira Wasiu earned silver in the Under-9 Girls Singles event after facing Mariyam Mia Mamdhoon in the final, while Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem finished runner-up in the Under-11 Boys Singles category after losing to Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan by 30-21.

Kayyif Ahmed Iqbal claimed bronze in Under-13 Boys Singles and added another bronze medal in Under-13 Boys Doubles alongside Umar Adheel. In the Under-15 divisions, Ahmed Akil Masuood secured bronze in both Boys Singles and Boys Doubles, partnering Mohamed Aydhin Anwar in the doubles event.

Revival Sports Eydhafushi also enjoyed a memorable tournament. Yoosuf Alaf Bin Rilwan captured the branch’s only gold medal after defeating Ibrahim Naaim Nazeem 30-21 in the Under-11 Boys Singles final.

Risham Abdul Fathah earned silver in the Under-15 Boys Singles category following a narrow three-set defeat against Ayaan Ahmed Nadheem by 16-14, 11-15, 15-13. Risham later partnered Awf Bin Fazloon in the Under-15 Boys Doubles final, where the duo settled for silver after another closely contested three-set battle.

In the Under-17 Boys Doubles category, Yoosuf Zeek Zuhan and Mohamed Ilaan Bin Rilwan secured silver medals after losing to Ahmed Auz Afeef and Izyaan Abdulla Saeed by 15-7, 17-15 in the final. Ilaan also added a bronze medal in the Under-17 Boys Singles event.

Meanwhile, Ismail Shaikhoon and Mohamed Naif Nazeeh completed the medal tally for Revival Sports Eydhafushi by claiming bronze in the Under-19 Boys Doubles category.

The strong performances across all age groups further underline the growing strength of the Revival Sports development system, with athletes from both the academy and Eydhafushi branch continuing to establish themselves among the country’s leading junior badminton talents.
