Entries are now open for one of the most anticipated junior badminton tournaments of the year, the Revival Sports Eydhafushi Junior Open 2026.

Organised with the endorsement of the Badminton Association of Maldives and supported by Revival Sports and Maldives Islamic Bank, the tournament is scheduled to take place from 22 to 25 May 2026 at the Eydhafushi Youth Centre.

The deadline for entries is 8 May 2026, with the minimum age requirement set at 6 years old as of 31 December 2026. Entry fees have been set at MVR 100 per player for both singles and doubles events.

The competition will feature a wide range of age categories. In singles, both boys and girls will compete across Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 divisions. Doubles events for boys and girls will be held in the Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 categories. All matches will be played using feather shuttlecocks, ensuring a high standard of play.

Podium finishers will be recognised with awards, with champions receiving both trophies and medals, while runners-up and third-place finishers will be awarded medals.

The Junior Open has already established itself as a key event in the national badminton calendar, with its previous two editions attracting strong participation from across the country, particularly from the Malé region.

Through this initiative, Revival Sports and Revival Sports Eydhafushi continue to provide a competitive platform for emerging young athletes, helping to nurture raw talent and inspire the next generation to pursue badminton at a higher level.
