Revival Sports Reach All Five Open Finals at BAM Championship

Revival Sports delivered a dominant statement at the ongoing Badminton Association of Maldives Championship 2026 after securing places in all five finals of the open category events.

The club’s high-performance athletes produced a series of commanding semi-final performances across men’s singles, women’s singles, mixed doubles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles to complete a remarkable clean sweep of the finals lineup.

In the Open Mixed Doubles semi-finals, second seeds Nibal Ahmed and Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) defeated Mohamed Ajfan Rasheed and Aishath Yooha Ahmed in straight sets 15-10, 15-9 to secure their place in the final.

Top seeds Zayan Zaki and Fathimath Nabaaha (Naba) were equally impressive, cruising past Mohamed Hisham Latheef and Nafha Nasrullah 15-4, 15-1 to set up an all-Revival Sports mixed doubles final.

The women’s singles competition will also feature an all-Revival Sports showdown after Naby and Naba advanced comfortably through their respective semi-finals.

Second seed Naby defeated Shuba Mohamed Shareef 15-5, 15-2 in a one-sided encounter, while top seed Naba overcame Yalvee Hussain Zuhury 15-10, 15-8 to continue her strong run in the tournament.

In the men’s singles event, Nibal Ahmed booked his place in the final after defeating fourth seed Hassan Zayan Mohamed by 15-9, 15-10.

The women’s doubles category saw Aminath Naseema and Busaina Ahmed Riza advance to the final after defeating Aishath Yooha Ahmed and Aminath Amna Ali Amir 15-12, 15-10.

Awaiting them in the final are top seeds Naby and Naba, who delivered one of the most dominant performances of the day by defeating Fathimath Imthisal Saudulla and Mariyam Shafaahath 15-4, 15-2.

In the men’s doubles semi-finals, Zayan Zaki and Nibal Ahmed continued their strong partnership with a 15-7, 15-11 win over Hamza Abdul Rahman and Yoosuf Niyaz.

However, the second semi-final produced one of the tournament’s surprises as Ahmed Thoif Mohamed and Riaz Mohamed defeated third seeds Haisham Ibrahim Ali and Mohamed Khalaf Imraan 15-9, 15-5 to book their place in the final.

The finals, scheduled to begin from 16:00 today at the Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Court, will now see Revival Sports athletes contesting every title match in the open division.

The mixed doubles final will feature Zayan Zaki and Naba against Nibal Ahmed and Naby, while the women’s singles crown will be contested between Naba and Naby. In the men’s singles final, Zayan Zaki will take on Nibal Ahmed, while Naby and Naba face Aminath Naseema and Busaina Ahmed Riza in the women’s doubles final.

The men’s doubles final will see Zayan Zaki and Nibal Ahmed meet Ahmed Thoif Mohamed and Riaz Mohamed.
