Revival Sports Welcomes Two Bangladesh National Players to Malaysia Training Camp
Two Bangladesh national-level badminton players have joined Revival Sports’ historic Malaysia training camp, adding further international exposure and high-level sparring opportunities ahead of the PETRONAS Malaysia International Series 2026.
Sibgat Ullah and Galib Ullah are currently training alongside Revival Sports’ High Performance Team and Under-23 Squad as they prepare for the upcoming international tournament, scheduled to take place from 1 to 6 September 2026.
The addition of the two Bangladesh players further strengthens the international character of Revival Sports’ ongoing Malaysia camp, providing athletes from both countries with an opportunity to train and compete together ahead of the tournament.
Galib Ullah is also a recipient of the Badminton Asia Asian Olympic Program scholarship for LA2028, adding further international experience and high-performance exposure to the training environment.
Revival Sports began its two-month Malaysia training camp on 28 July 2026, with a traveling delegation of 12 members, comprising athletes from the High Performance Team and Under-23 Squad, together with two coaches.
The camp forms a key component of the club’s IOIG 2027 Development Project, a long-term initiative aimed at strengthening the Maldives’ medal prospects through sustained international training, high-level sparring and competitive exposure.
The first traveling squad includes Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq (Naba), Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzaq (Naby), Hussein Zayan Shaheed Zaki, Hassan Zayan Mohamed, Haisham Ibrahim Ali, Mohamed Khalaf Imraan, Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah, Ayyoob Azhar Mohamed, Ibrahim Nashith Hamdi, Head Coach Mohamed Nashfan, Coach Nasheeu Sharafuddeen and Hussain Raushaan.
Revival Sports also confirmed that player Nibal Ahmed and coach Riaz Mohamed joined the squad at a later stage after a local competition held in Male’.
The Malaysia camp has already delivered several key milestones for the Revival Sports. Club’s athletes competed at the PETRONAS Malaysia International Challenge 2026, while also taking part in high-level training matches against Algeria and Malaysia national-level players.
The inclusion of the two Bangladesh players now provides another opportunity for the Revival Sports athletes to train against different playing styles and gain valuable match preparation ahead of the Malaysia International Series.
The international sparring and tournament exposure are significant components of the objectives set for the two-month camp, giving the athletes increased court time, access to quality opposition and opportunities to apply lessons from training in competitive situations.
With the Malaysia International Series approaching, the continued presence of national-level players from Bangladesh adds another layer to Revival Sports’ high-performance environment and contributes to the club’s broader objective of developing athletes capable of competing successfully on the international stage.
The ongoing camp represents a significant investment in the development of Maldivian badminton, with every training session, international sparring opportunity and tournament providing valuable experience as Revival Sports builds towards it’s IOIG 2027 medal ambitions and other medal targets.
