Revival Teams Set Early Marker with Impressive Team-Event Victories

Revival Sports and Revival Badminton Club have made strong starts to the First Division team events at the 50th National Badminton Tournament, recording convincing victories in their opening matches.

Revival Sports began its First Division Men’s Team Event campaign with a dominant 5-0 victory over T-Rex Sports Academy.

The team secured wins in all three singles and two doubles matches. In the first singles, Jelang Fajar defeated Ahmed Ahnaf Mohamed Aflah 15-2, 15-1, while Surya Adi Pambudi followed with a 15-5, 15-5 victory over Yoosuf Ethaan Bin Shifaz in the second singles.

Adam Maheen Mohamed completed the singles sweep, defeating Mohamed Ilan Bin Rilwan 15-6, 15-9 in the third singles.

Revival Sports also took both doubles matches. Jelang Fajar and Nasheeu defeated Aloof and Risham 15-5, 15-2, before Rishwan Shyam and Pambudi beat Akil and Yuan 15-8, 15-6.

Revival Sports is scheduled to face Revival Badminton Club today, September 18, at 3:00 PM.

The First Division Men’s Team Event features eight teams divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Revival Badminton Club also began its First Division Men’s Team Event campaign on a winning note, defeating Rising Star for Vilufushee Recreation 4-1.

Ahmed Ayaan Bin Mohamed Solah opened the campaign with a 15-11, 15-11 victory over Iyaan Ahmed Mamdhooh.

Hassan Zayan Mohamed was defeated by Muhamdiramgt Wedhaka Senadh 7-15, 8-15, giving Rising Star its only point of the tie.

Ayyoob Azhar Mohamed restored Revival Badminton Club’s advantage with a 15-10, 15-10 win over Shizan Siraaj.

In the first doubles, Haisham Ibrahim Ali and Zayan Zaki defeated Iyaan and Muhamdiramgt 15-4, 12-15, 15-8 in three games.

Hassan Zayan and Khalaf then secured the overall 4-1 victory by defeating Waaee and Shizan 15-4, 15-6 in the second doubles.

Revival Sports also recorded a 4-1 victory over C.S Sports in the First Division Women’s Team Event.

Nurani Ratu Azzahra started the tie with a commanding 15-3, 15-1 victory over Aminath Farha Faroozan.

Fathimath Nabaha Abdul Razzaq (Naba) then defeated Laiba Ahmed Mahloof 15-3, 15-7 in the second singles.

C.S Sports claimed its only point in the third singles, where Yalvee Hussain Zuhury defeated Laara Mohamed Latheef 15-8, 15-7.

Revival Sports responded strongly in both doubles matches. Azzahra and Aishath Afnaan Rasheedh defeated Farha and Kiyan 15-7, 15-5, before Naba and Aminath Nabeeha (Naby) completed the 4-1 victory with a 15-6, 15-3 win over Laiba and Yalvee.

Revival Sports is scheduled to face Elite Warriors Sports Club tomorrow, September 18, at 8:00 PM.

Unlike the men’s competition, the Women’s Team Event features three teams competing in a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final.

With strong opening results across both divisions, Revival Sports and Revival Badminton Club have immediately placed themselves in contention as the team events continue at the landmark 50th National Badminton Tournament.
