The 2026 tournament marks the second edition of the Revival Inter Resort Badminton Championship. The inaugural edition was held in 2024, with Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru emerging as the first champions.

The championship aims to foster a stronger passion for badminton within the resort sector while promoting sports tourism and creating opportunities for a broader audience to engage with the sport.

By bringing resort employees together through competitive badminton, the tournament also provides a platform for sporting talent from across the hospitality industry to compete, connect and contribute to the continued growth of badminton in the Maldives.
